We are located in Manchester Aquatics Centre, which is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art swimming facility. Situated in the centre of Manchester (close to the Universities), that stands as a fantastic legacy to the success of the Commonwealth Games 2002. It is the only complex in the UK with two 50-metre pools. It has a separate 5.1m deep diving pool, with 2x 1m and 3m springboards and 3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m platforms. It also has a leisure pool with slides.
When the pool first opened our Head Coach Jan Isherwood was approached to put a dive programme in place on behalf of SERCO Leisure. The programme has developed over the years and eventually a diving club was formed. MAC Dive Team has members of all ages who are coached to the highest level. Over the years the diving club has had great success in many competitions. We have affiliations to GBDF (Great British Diving Federation) and the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association.
